Best Teether My grand daughter loves this toy. It's always the first one she pulls from the wagon of toys at her great-grandmothers. She got it when she was about five months old to have something to chew on when she was teething. At 12 months she still loves to listen to the music, manipulate the beads, shake it and chew on it. The keys are easy for her to push. It's a toy that keeps on giving.
Diaper Review I loved these diapers - they were soft and absorbant after just one washing instead of 2 or 3 like other diapers. Very soft to the touch and soft on baby's skin.
A sanity saver. I used these when my daughter was still in high chairs at the stage when all she wanted to do was see food drop on the floor. Since they are plastic, I could wipe up small messes, so they are reusable; but I'd throw them out when they got ratty or messes were unbearable. I'd take them to restaurants and the wait staff so appreciated our thoughtfulness, we'd have them come up to thank us for thinking of them. I only wish they were slightly larger, because the high chair took up a good chunk of the middle and then there wasn't much room left over on the sides. My daughter was sometimes able to get foods outside that perimeter. At least most of it was caught.
I have found other uses for Floor Topper as my children have grown, like groundcover for painting and crafts. I also place them under the hamster cage to catch debris and protect my desk.
Floor Toppers are thicker than plastic bags and cheap plastic tablecloths, so they stay unfolded and flat on the ground and not all bunched up. I still have a few from when my children were toddlers and I pull them out every now and again, because they can be so useful.
Poorly made. Dangerous. Small. Not worth it at all! This is a horrible little seat.
Its lightweight, yes. That's about the only pro. The fabric feels cheap and is rough. The plastic is cheap. The buckles are hard to fasten and its near impossible to get it in and out of its base (so hard that it killed my wrists and even my husband had a hard time getting it in and out. This loosened up a little with time, but not enough.) Sometimes it took tons of effort to even get snapped properly into the base, and we'd get to our destination to find that the seat hadn't even snapped in all the way!
On top of everything? There was no way this seat was fitting snugly into my vehicle (2001 Ford F150 crew cab.) Since moving on from this junk we have used both a Graco Snugride32 and an Evenflo Symphony, both of which fasted into my vehicle correctly and snugly with very little movement. The Shuttle, however, rocked back and forth very loosely and no matter how hard we tried or what configuration we tried it would just not fasten any more solidly. I honestly was afraid for my daughter's safety when she was in it...hence our purchase of the Snugride32.
It does not fit onto shopping carts well, either. The Snugride will snap onto a cart pretty well but the Shuttle just sort of perches precariously unless we set it down inside the cart itself, which was pointless as there was then no room for groceries or other shopping.
It also does not come with an infant headrest, this had to be purchased separately so that my daughter's head didn't go flopping around like a bobble-head dog.
It is very narrow, my daughter was barely able to move in it. The "rebound bar" is useless in both that it doesn't even touch the backseat of my truck AND it blocks my daughter's feet from being able to stretch out. (She's a big kid!)
Don't waste your money on this thing. If you're insistent on a carrier, buy a Snugride from Graco. Frankly, however, just get a good convertible car seat and be done with it. Don't even give this deathtrap a second thought.
Excellent Carrier My daughter is just now 8 weeks old. We bought this carrier last weekend because the buckles and straps are very easy to use and the is soft. The price was a key selling point as well. The carrier is comfortable for both parents and apparently baby too! We're all pleased and would recommend this product.
